Aurora Robson is a multi-media artist known predominantly for her meditative work intercepting the plastic waste stream. Her practice is about shifting negative trajectories. Her work formally references recurring nightmares that she had as a child which she hybridizes with organic forms found in nature.
Robson is also the founding artist of Project Vortex, an international collective of artists, designers and architects also working with plastic debris. Through her work she explores the intersection of art, science and education while helping restrict the flow of plastic debris to our oceans. For more information about her work and related initiatives, see her TEDx talk entitled Trash + Love.
